Hey I've read over old posts and I just want to make sure I'm in compliance. On this install, I have only a 200A meter base on the right side of this home, near the back. I want to locate the generator around the corner from this meter. Since it is not in sight, am I correct in thinking I would need to set a regular disconnect after my meter base, pipe around the corner into my service rated ATS in sight of the generator, from the newly set disconnect?

Thank you.

As long as the service conductors from your meter base are outside the residence you can run any distance directly to your service rated ATS and around any corner.

I would ask where is the main panel located? I would assume it could be a back to back service. If so I would set the SR ATS as close as possible to the panel to reduce the cost of larger wire and conduit. Set the generator around the corner and install your generator disconnect under the ATS. You would have smaller conduit and wire on the generator side meaning less cost.
