View Full Version : Builder's Warranty : Tripping is normal?

I went to check out a website of a local builder I've heard advertised on the radio everyday lately. I found their warranty page. Here is an excerpt:

Electrical System: Electrical wiring should be capable of carrying the designated load for normal residential use to your electrical box – All switches, fixtures and outlets should operate as intended – Occasional tripping is normal on ground-fault circuit-interrupters (GFCI).


I want to work for this guy! Seems like he's got the electrician covered from having to do any pesky troubleshooting.

I think I know what he means, but it should've been worded differently.

I agree and I would think he could have said this about all of the breakers as well, including the main.

Ditto. Remove GFCI from the original, and you're a lot closer to the truth. Now, define occasional...:roll: :grin:
