Hooking up 240v to 208v equipment

Hi, I'm curious about the consequences of supplying 240v 3-phase to 208v 3-phase equipment.

im sure it might run a little hotter and the lifespan of the equipment might be effected. could you get a transformer to step it down a little?

This is where reading the manafactures instruction booklet comes in handy.

Some equipment can be run on either voltage, other equipment can not. I

would find out first, and not guess at it. After all, that's why people call

Electricians.
