If I have site lighting do all boxes underground for my feeder runs have to be cast iron? This is not clearly defined. All it says is wetherproof pullbox. Only one or two indicate cast iron but I have about 100 pullboxes underground. Very, very large site.
Thanks.

What's wrong with the pre-cast concrete, or fiberglass ones?
This link (http://www.christyconcrete.com/elec_tele_boxes.html) may help.

and no box is weatherproof. Might be weather resistant.

Even if I fill it with silicone? (don't ask...it's safer that way...)

Traffic rated Quazite boxes are all we use unless specified differently by the engineer.

(An optimist says the glass is half full, the pessimist says it's half empty, but the engineer says the vessel is twice as large as the task at hand)

Actually, I don't know. I got that answer from someone when I mentioned it about something else.

I've seen that with the phone company a few times although it's not silicone... I forget what they call it. If you have to get back in there it's a real pain.

Mike-
I know the stuff you're talking about and this wasn't it...
I was on a site and actually saw a helper gunning in tube after tube in to a christy. When I asked him what he was doing he replied "making the connections weather tight". I shook my head and walked up to the journeyman and let him know what he was doing.
