Anyone out there ever heard of / use this product?

PowerWorx
https://www.4rxpower.com/

On the video, it looks like it is a combination TVSS and capacitor bank... but for residential applications.

Any help out there would be great.
I have a disaster restoration company that is looking at using it.

Thanks,
Greg

How much can I expect to save per month by using the PowerwoRx e3?

Your savings will depend on the factors in your home - the size of your home, the amount of inductive motor load, the amount you are paying per kilowatt-hour for electricity, etc.

thats just a power factor correction device with TVSS built in. you dont need to worry about your power factor in a house since your just paying by the KWH and not KVA. just somebody trying to make money on the green craze. the TVSS on the other hand might be useful.

I had a good idea of what “snake oil” means. But just for fun, I did a quick Google search for the phrase “snake oil.” It led me first, alas, to a couple Wikipedia articles that gave the gist of the meaning of the phrase (i.e., uncomplimentary description that essentially accuses the sales people of pushing garbage merchandise at a high price, while knowing well that the product will not do what the customer is expecting).

What I found most interesting, however, is on the right side of the Google results page. There are several ads for companies who offer “snake oil” at bargain prices.:grin:

I completely forgot about homeowners not being required to pay PF correction fees.

At $600.00 per, this had better be some top of the line snake oil...

It's easy to forget that capacitors have to be charged between every discharge. The waveform is altered, but the overall power (as measured by Kw/Hr meters) remains the same.

my favorite car stereo retailer and i were bs'ing when a guy came in with
this, and offered to show how it'd save bunches of money, by reducing
the current draw..... kinda looked like the same sort of guy who shows
up selling "surplus" steaks.... he could do a test on the spot he said.
i'm pretty sure it's the same unit, but i could be mistaken. looks like it tho.

my buddy said, "COOL!" and he starts work.....
i walked out to the van, and came back with a
fluke 337 digital clamp on meter, and a digital voltmeter,
and said i'd like to see as well.... we never did get around
to the test, something came up that prevented us from doing
it right then, but he'd be back tomorrow with the missing part...
