I have a soft start running an existing 200 HP 460 V motor. Is it permissible to install a fused disconnect and connect to a new 125 HP motor from the same soft start. I plan to install interlocks on the disconnect as well as a selector switch to prevent the wrong motor from starting. The new motor will have its own start/stop buttons. The existing starter has a run relay, I plan to install another one for the new motor and also interlock these.
