What is the value of a Mobile jobsite office, 8' by 28'. Roof is real rusty, outside metal is rough, tires are shot, and man door wont stay shut. Back garage door is one swift kick away from leaving its track. has electric and baseboard heater, and A/C unit, but unknown if they work....several t12 strips, nothing exciting...the floor is rough, and interior walls arent much....I like my stuff to look nice, and this could, but it would need alot of time and money. I offered $500.00, the guy was asking $1900.00. What do yall think???

Sounds like you want to buy a pile of junk for $500.

Well.....yeah.....kinda:rolleyes:
I figure for $500.00, I could fix it up into a nice trailer, and not be over invested with it. I have gotten prices on "nice" ones, that are ready to go, and they are $3500-$4500 for comprobable sizes. Granted I would have alot of sweat equity in it, but that is nothing new to me....I have started with junk stuff years ago and progressed to nice stuff.....I like a challenge occasionally, if it makes sense. I was just wondering if those things are worth that, since it is "a pile of junk".

"It could be nice." What's it going to cost to put lipstick on a pig?

you make it sound pretty bad, I dont think I would even want it if they gave it to me, if you think it is worth 500 to you, stick to your guns, if they dont come down just keep looking.

gave up on trailers. sea containers are somewhat secure (after you weld a bunch of crap on). cut a hole for the a/c, put some lights in, nobody is going to hitch up to it and drive it away.

Well you could buy a 10'- 20' half size Ocean Trailer for 2K and spend the rest on up fix, and flat bed re-location services.
nobody is going to hitch up to it and drive it away.
Wouldn't that also be it's downfall as a mobile office trailer. Sounds like a pain to move from jobsite to jobsite...

right now, there isn't a big demand for job trailers. there's lots of them sitting
around..... you could probably find a near new one for a thousand.... i was
down in dana point harbor today looking at a boat, and the guy in the next
slip bought a 25' cabin cruiser, fresh motor and stern drive, for $3,000.
if i had a guess, i'd say it's worth 12-14,000. couple weeks ago, i walked into
best buy, looking for a blu-ray player, and got a $1,000 denon for $300, open
box... if you have any money at this time, and aren't afraid to spend it, there
are some amazing deals to be had.
