Only the second time that I have seen (or noticed,) a home service that is metered/CT'd at the green box rather than at a cabinet at the service. Is this more common than I realize? I have not done too many homes that required CT cabinets, but there are a couple of times that this may have been a viable option. BTW, how do you like the camo on the meter?

Maybe it's not a CT meter for a house, but a meter for nearby neighborhood site lighting, sort of like a house meter in an apartment complex.

There is no meter at the service (we sold genset for the house and were there for maintenace) so I am assuming this is their meter located at the corner of the property.

I saw some old commercial services in NC while on vacation that had the CT's right at the weatherhead. They were just hung on the service conductors with a small multi conductor cable run down the wall to the meter.

Looked to be a group of 400 to 600 amp 3 phase services, sure saved lots of room. No huge CT cabinet. Only saw it in 1 town, guess the idea did not catch on.
