Hi Guys -
Any experiences to share on the use of HDPE conduit?

Elock slip couplings. $6.00 each. We don't use MA in street lighting.
Depends on size of pipe 2" about $.68 per foot
unroll the pipe and drop in the ditch or direct bore.
Up to 5000' per reel
same as pvc
Red, Orange, Blue, Green, Yellow, Gray and Black that I know of.

When this material comes off the roll does it have a "memory" where it wants to curl up, or does it lay flat without much trouble?

If you will be installing the HDPE where there is a change in elevation, or horizontal bending of the raceway, I say good luck. The couplings are unusual in the installation of, as they bang on, and do not stay on if there is pressure from the bend in the run. Sweeps are the name of the game with HDPE. A 1/4 mile sweep is usually the minimum...:D

Remember, it is strictly for use underground, and if you have to transition from below grade to above grade, be prepared to change to the proper method, which will be other than HDPE.

Right, I plan to transition to rigid when coming out of ground using a Quazite box.

The project would have short lengths of HDPE placed in trench/ditch. The lengths would be about 50' to 100'. I like the idea of HDPE due to it's toughness.

Has anybody seen/bought/used straight lengths?

The above is my plan, but I am having doubts of using this as lay in conduit....
