Have a job requirement to wire R.A.B. model STL-110 motion detectors in parallel. Is this possible and will it be reliable. Thanks.

Not sure what you want to do but I have wired two standard motion detectors that control one set of lights. Basically you feed one motion and then run a 3 wire to the 2nd motion. From there go to your lights (Load). It is the same as you would wire a 3 way switch to some degree. Feed your black wire of the 3 wire cable and energize both smokes then the reds get connected together and tied to the load.

Does this help

we have done this on long driveways nto control the lights along the driveway from either end

What do you mean by ENERGIZE BOTH SMOKES? Why did you say SMOKES?

check the rating of the motion detectors. when only 1 activates it will have to carry the full lighting load. Some of them have pretty low ratrings.

ok! makes sence, but are those motion sensors capable of handling that much of a load?

you can order 1500w detectors

If not, have them activate a contactor.

Probably can without a problem but I would contact RAB just to make sure. They're in Northvale, NJ
