Are there listed wire nuts to splice together 2 #6 stranded wires?
Ditto for 2 #4 stranded wires?

Or should a crimper be used (Buchannan sp?) with a large barrel?
Thank you.

Yes, the large blue wing nuts are usually listed for 2 #6. #4 you will need to use a split bolt or clear tap.

Thanks Peter.
We figured a small split lug would do the trick.
What is a clear tap?

The box or bag will tell you what you can use with that color. Many guys don't look or care and think if they got it on it passes.I do not know of any color larger than the big blue ones and #6 is max

What is a clear tap? You're welcome.

This is a clear tap. They made split bolts obsolete.

NSI makes similar insulated splice blocks that are real nice, and real easy.
