Got a call from a GC. His excavator hit some buried PVC and broke the coupling and part of the pipe. Wires were not damaged.
What is a quick way to repair without re-pulling entire run to nearest pole/ panel?
I thought I saw a sleeve advertized in one of the trade mags.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Carlon makes a "split kit" that looks pretty neat.

This happens sometimes on the job where a coupling is cracked or a pipe gets a hole smacked in it. We've often wrapped it in a plastic bag and liberal duct tape, then shot a wad of concrete over it. I'm reasonably certain it was UL listed concrete.

The PVC is 1-1/4", right in the middle of the run (long). May have to consider that UL concrete method. :D Fortunately the conductors are intact. The backhoe operatro just hit the PVC and pulled it just enough to break the couplings on the 2 runs.
I'll keep looking for a split sleeve.
