I am getting ready to take my test in Ohio and when I called they told me I did not need to know anything about it,now the forum says yes you do.Can anyone give me examples and how many should I prepare for?

The state is always changing things. I do not believe that you need anything but the 2002 NEC.
See if you can get the info from Harold Plant 614-451-9003. He is one of the individuals responsible for the state lic. He also gives one of the continuing ed courses that you will be required to take.

Business law? Like what type of questions? I'm an Electrician, I hire others for that aspect of the business.

One of the cont. ed courses I had to take was on scaffolding. It was 2.5 hours. Most of the courses are to put money in the pockets of those who help write the law.
That is why we went from about 10,000 contractors to about 35,000+ contractors. In one year.
Follow the money.
I am not as unhappy as my posts appear.
It is that I can "vent" here.

no, i am not from the UA.
general contractors have 3 tests in Tennessee.
buisness law, electrical, mechanical.
for experior, call them and they will send you a sample test.
