Too Many Fire Alarm Circuit Conductors in This Box!!

When I am called to a job and find this my first thought is, how do I get out of here.

I have seen this junction box too many times to count. It would appear that some of us do not know what a terminal strip is or hoew to terminate one. :( I wonder if this work would qualify as "Neat and Workmanlike"???

If this was in Rhode Island we would have a clear violation as they require terminal strips for fire alarm conductors.

If I was able to shut down all the conductors (sometimes not allowed in an occupied building without a fire watch) I sure I could makes this look good in a few hours with barrier strips.

I do not think anyone would call this "Neat and Workmanlike" but can you really enforce that, I do not believe so.
