I have a situation where a gel-fill 900 pr. telephone feeder cable enters a building through a conduit and is terminated to BET's. The contractor installed the BET's in two columns and in order to terminate the cable to the BET's, removed the cable sheath close to the conduit and divided the bundles to feed the two columns. There is about four foot of conductors wraped in electrical tape from the BET's to the cable sheath. This isn't how I would have installed the cable but can't find any code that shows this to be a violation. Any comment?

Thanks

Nothing technically wrong just a screw up or sloppy work. I wouldn't worry about it.
