surge protection

Hi I have a 600 amp 480Y/277 volt main disconnect
mounted in a MCC and need to add a surge protector. What is the best way to go about it????? help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've done this in an MCC with a spare bucket, by flush mounting the TVSS in the bucket door, wired to its disconnect. Its critical on the TVSS to have short lead length. Could you put the TVSS on the end/side of the MCC? If its small enough you cound mount on the door and backwire it.
