Permissible Situations

I am looking for a definition of " permissible equipment " as it applies to the mining industry, that is specifically to coal mining or construction / development in coal mining situations. What type of classification is required ?

This could mean lots of things. To start with, in order for something to be "permissible" you will most likely need to make sure it is "approved". Approved by definition is being acceptable to the AHJ. Otherwise, you will need to rely on manufacturer's instructions and the equipment's listing and labeling.

There is an entire government agency that deals just with mining safety. I think that might be a good place to start.
