Labeler question

I am looking to purchase a replacement for my Brady labeler. What is currently the best one out there?

We really like the Brother P-Touch (w/black on clear tape), but I'm usually stuck with my Sharpie.

I am having problems with my Bradt Idxpert printer.
Seems the cartridges go bad if not used soon after opened.

I have been having print quality problems especially with wide labels with a large font. The black thermal transfer ribbon seems to hang up and not advance with the label and leaves splochy text.

No problem with a brand new cartridge.

When this printer needs to be replaced it may be with a Panduit Panther LS8.

The problem is that the Brady will print on lables 1-1/2" wide and the Panther only 1" wide.
