Requirements for running sub-feeds under an existing South Beach hotel.
Due to wet conditions, would PVC be required?Engineering specs on plan show IMC or Rigid Metallic Conduit. Due to conditions under existing hotel, I believe inspection authority won't approve metal conduit. Please advise if I am correct or incorrect.
Due to varying conditions of job, my electrical room has been reduced in size.
I was told that electrical panels cannot be mounted closer than 36" from the edge of the door opening.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

I believe inspection authority won't approve metal conduit. If they are inspecting per the NEC and no other codes they would have to accept it.

thanks There is no such requirement speaking only of the NEC.

Weren't the plans reviewed and approved by the same authority doing the inspections?
