I was at my gym and I noticed that one row of exercise bicycles and treadmills in the middle of the room was powered by a 40 foot length of 3/4" RGS conduit installed right on top of the floor, with outlet boxes coming off it every 6 feet.

I'm not a code Guru. The conduit is a trip hazard, but furthermore I think there is Code provision against it.

Well I say anything? Probably not. Compared to the barbells and weights and all the other devices at the gym, that trip hazard is of minor harm. Now some people sweat 3 or 4 pounds but I doubt that the conduit will be immersed in sweat.

The question is more for my own edification. technically it seems correct, but it sure looks...incorrect.
