Fla's new elevator law

Is anyone in this forum familiar with florida's new elevator law in regards to emergency standby gensets?

One of my questions is this now classified a legally required standby systems ( Art. 701), rather than pre - law classification of a optional standby system ( Art. 702)?

Well, guess I am answering my own question, but for anyones interest the new Florida law requiring facility's over 75' in height to have an alternate power source is requiring the installation be per Art. 700.

Is this county-specific, or statewide? Is it an interpretation on the AHJ's, part, or is there documentation?

After further research, it is mandated by the state of florida per house bill 7121 and signed by Bush... That these installations be per art 700 AND it's normal power souce by tapped ahaead of the MSD.
However, after speaking to many agencies having juristiction, they all concure that it's a very grey area.
The bill was just put into place on 1/1/07.
I trust it wil take a few years for every AHJ to get on the same page.
