Anybody know of a l/v light that can withstand being run over. Customer has typical walkway lights along driveway and sidewalks but they always get run over or smashed by gardener etc. He wants light to highlight driveway that can be installed near edge be low profile and handle being run over ? Any website or manufacture name would be a big help. TIA

RUUD Lighting, Racine Wi makes a retractable 'bollard' fixture that is avail in a few formats, adjustable (MR16) etc. It retracts flush when NOT "on".
(RUUDLighting.com)
Other than that the only thing I can think of is 'rock lights' (Hadco)
Neither of the above are 'budget' items; some may consider 'pricey'

You can also get lights that are actually molded inside blocks that are laid like driveway pavers and driven over.
Here's an example: http://www.beautibrick.com/paverlights.htm
