melting terminal strips

does anyone have any ideas about what to use for a terminal strip above a large oven in an industrial setting? The ovens are 1000 degrees inside, and around 500 degrees outside where the strips are melting. Nothing happening to the #8 hi temp wire going to the strips. Any ideas?
