is eighteen thousand dollars a reasonable price for wiring a 2family house new work, each apt. has 3 bedrooms , dining room, living room, kitchen with microvave , dishwasher, 1 switch for 1 ceiling light, no recessed fixtures in house at all.
2 central air units need 220 v 40amp and each has air handler. 2 car gararge with plain ceiling light and power for 2 garage door openers. all lighting fixtures will be cost of builde with permit cost. if any one can give a idea if i'm close i'd like to know. this is a first for us.

Post a complete take-off and I can let you know what I would charge.
If the number I arrive at is "reasonable" ..is anyone's guess ~ it will be reasonable to me :)

I don't know whether it's reasonable, that's a judgement that depends on many factors not mentioned in your post. But I do know that I live in a 2-family house with 3 bdrms , bath, kitchen, LR, DR each floor, and a 2 car garage. If someone would offer me $18K to rewire it, I might actually get most of it done this year. :)
