Anyone know of a place to find discontinued breakers? Have to change a breaker in a restaraunt, and we came to find that GE no longer makes breakers for this panel. (The entire shopping center is only 7 or 8 years old).

Try:
Peoples Electrical Supply Co

(410) 752-5335

351 N Gay St, Baltimore, MD 21202

Not a great looking place, but they have many hard to find and obsolete items.

Another you could try is Circuit Solutions in Sacramento. (916) 648-3021

I have found them to be pretty good with hard to get breakers.

They buy most of my old breakers as well.

Makes a nice little bonus on the job.

Thank you for your replys.

It is too late for this particular job, but it is something I want to pass on to the boss for the next time.

GE sent a breaker, with what is SUPPOSED to be an adaptor kit.

I will find out early tommorrow. (6 am start to shut off the 600 amp panel to get this thing in)

I never throw old breakers away for this reason.
