Anyone had any experience good or bad with joining any of the various Contractor and Business Associations? I'm thinking BBB, NARI, ASA, and the like
Any networking chances, Helpful seminars, Certifications that were of help?

After three years in business I was wondering if any associations would be able to help me grow the business.

And if that help would justify any membership dues and fees.

I've gotten a lot of useful help from the Small Business Development Center (http://sbdcnet.org/).

Every town is gonna be run and done differently.

Where you are in N Virginia, ASA and ABC should be worth the dues...
if for nothing else than to get your apprentices and foremen in the classes.

As far as developing sales contacts... that will be up to your efforts.
But the opportunities to do so will be there. (Read: politics)
