does anyone has any idea on how to estimate the installation of an exterior building sign. the one I came across is a small one, 3ft. by 6ft. In addition, do I need an additional license to install an exterior sign even if is just LED or do I just need a separate permit for it. by the way am located in southern california. If any info is given would be really apreciated.

Are you just wiring the sign, or installing and wiring the sign? That is two different numbers.

It is good to check with signs, some local and states have strict rules on hanging signs, often they require a zonning permit, before you can get the electrical permit issued, we usually check with out local construction offical, before commiting to sign work.

You have to be a sign contractor (C45) in order to install a sign here in CA.

You may run the electrical for the sign.

As for estimating, I have no idea.

actually, my question was about the installation of the sign on the wall. the rest of the estimating I've done it before

even if is not a neon for instance an LED sing where you don't have to deal with the type of transformers they use.

So a C45 sign contractor can do ALL the electrical work related to their sign, including the branch circuit, timers, contactors, underground work (if any) etc etc...?
