Do you have to be NICET certified in order to install or repair fire alarms?

I didnt think NICET was even doing certifications, or maybe that was just power system testing, that program I know has been scrapped.

My bad, I just checked the website and they still offer the fire protection system cert. To answer your question, no I dont think you do need to be certified unless the specs are written that way.
