Tips on floor box install in existing floor?

I have damaged floors and such with large holesaw when the pilot bit breaks and the saw flies off at a tangent. I will take a tip from TOH's NORM : Make a template out a 1"X6 by 4 ft long. Cut a tmeplate hole near one end of the board place this hole directly over the hole to be cut, then nail down the template, or stand on it will drilling the finish hole.

Joe, when cutting boxes into wood flooring and cabinetry, there is one indispensible tool to have:

A reverse-cutting jig-saw blade. Its teeth cut on the downward stroke to minimize splintering.
