An auditor recently visited my site and one of his findings was stated as

"Frequent cases of grounding connections with more than two 90 degrees bends"

Can anyone provide me with the applicable code that indicates a minimum bending requirement? Also, can someone explain the implications of having more than 2 90 deg bends?

Thanks

it's actually 8".... as stated in NFPA 780...3.9.5. Conductor Bends. No bendsof a conductor shall form an included angle of less than 90 deg, nor shall it have a radius of bend less than 8 in.

I think it's in 250.4 in the FPN ( I know, fpn's are not code) it points out that it's good paractice to keep number of bends, and radius, to a minimum. That is all that the NEC has on it, from what I can remember.
