Instantaneous transfer, no delay. :smile: That is the static version. Normally a delay in a standard ATS.


A standard mechanical ATS can have open transition with a timed opening be it fixed or adjustable, but is a mechanical device. A mechanical ATS can also operate with a closed transition that is when both sources are available there can be a transfer from source to source with out a loss of power.

A static ATS is an not mechanical they are use solid state devices.(though some have parallel mechanical contacts to minimize the cost of the electronics). These can operate in closed transition or open transition also. Static ATS can transfer on loss of one source to an alternate source without loss of power to the critical loads.
