I have a 2 pole 50 amp breaker with paralleled #10's. Wires appear to be in good shape, and of equal length. Is there any part of the code that doesn't allow paralleling of wires that small?

just in case you wanted the entire reference....;)..We will leave out the exceptions since they dont apply to your application.

A couple months ago we had a service call at some house with attached studio apartments (side note: zoning violation). The panel was a mess. The range was fed with paralleled 12 gauge wires on a 40 amp breaker.

I have come across houses where the original kitchen was 30a cooktop and 30a wall oven. The kitchen was remodeled with new cabinets and some hack paralled the (2) #10 wires on a 50a breaker for a wall oven
