Found myself in a K&T discussion on this 'old house' forum... Not "This Old House" of TV fame...

I skimmed thru the thread but hears my take. The most important thing of all K&T has no egc. I guess this was ok 100 years ago for general lighting circuits but imagine how many vacuums or microwaves are plugged into K&T cirs today.
