Make a wire bender

Make a wire bender

A better wire bender is to make one: use 1" to 1.5" -90^ weld fittings cut about a 1/3rd out (about 100^ total)off of the fitting, grind down the edges! Turn the opening up from the bottom about 35^ to 45^'s and and rotate again about 45^ to a 12" - 14" steel handle and weld it!

I've used them to bend 500's onto terminals on DIN rail. The tools are not that great. Its hard to get leverage in tight spots which is why you think you need them.

I traded up to a 12" length of 1.5" stainless tubing with a flared end that I put over the end of the wire. Less damage to the insulation.
