Armored Cable... Connector or Termination??

Hello,

I'm having a very difficult type finding the difference between a connector and a termination for armored cable. It seems to me for 480V cable, when you run into a box or whatever, the little piece would be a "connector". Whereas at 25kV or some medium voltage, you have the big stress cone and all that stuff - which would be called a termination.

If that's correct, can you get a Medium Voltage regular "connector"? Wouldn't that have all the problems that a "termination" is supposed to fix? And can you get a low voltage "termination"? Seems like overkill...

I'm being asked to prepare prices on:
low voltage connectors (600V)
low voltage terminations (600V)
medium voltage connectors (25kV)
medium voltage terminations (25kV)

and the whole thing is confusing me!

Thanks very much for your help!

Ah, now that makes sense...

Can someone comment on whether this makes sense?

Two categories of pricing I was given are:

25kV Cable Connectors
25kV Terminations/Stress Cones

Wouldn't the stress cone be more part of the connector?
