I have an irrigation contractor that uses natural water sources for his supply. On a lot of his jobs (mainly Golf courses) he will use a low pressure high volume pump to keep his retention ponds full. From the ponds he uses standard 3 phase pumps. We did one with solar last year and it didn't require to many watts to keep the ponds topped off. Might see if wants to try one of these next.
