residential electrical panel location

hi guys i looked at a service upgrade right now the existing panel located in basement in between a oil tank and a old type water filter theres 24" between the two can i put the new panel back in the same location thank you.

Since you're in New Jersey this is permitted under the rehab code. If you want to you call the inspector first for some peace of mind.

IMHO the location is grandfathered. And as stated the AHJ.
