Of course... That's why they make them silly green screws... Oh - contrary to popular belief - you have to ground the device you put in it too...

do you have to ground a metal box, if you pull it in romex?

yes.

in 4" square boxes (surface mount) I use a screw, in nail-up boxes (flush mount) i use a clip.

Don't have my book in front of me but I'd say if the romex was just passing through the box without being stripped and terminated to a device, the box would not have to be bonded.

Not so, 250.4, and 250.86-ish off the top of my head. The box must be bonded, even if no conductors are spliced within the box. Also see 250.148.

Ok, Thanks Geo......I was thinking along the lines of somewhere in the code where it states that short sections of metallic conduit used to sleeve NM-B need not be bonded.
