I was emailed by this company, they are looking for electricians to install this product which I think does not work.
What do you think? Has anyone seen or heard of this?
This is one of their responses when I told them the only to reduce energy consumption is to reduce power or wattage.

Their response......
I do, obviously you think you are smarter than the boys at Sandia Labs
and Oakridge Labs, both have tested the product and said it works.

Have a nice day

Snake oil, run away as fast as you can

He implies you are the stupid one, but offers no theory or proof of how the product works. He is a classic snake oil salesman.

I actually read this whole thing, excellent research, I don't know who this guy is but I like him :)

Hmm. It's 'being tested' at Oak Ridge & Sandia laboratories. Who are they, and what exactly are they testing?

Money-back guarantee on the installation costs? I doubt it.

What, exactly, is "filtering, purifying & stabilizing" power?

If it is patented, ask for the patent #. Then look it up at the link below and you can see exactly what it does.

http://patft.uspto.gov/

If it is a "patent pending" do a number search on the patent applications, otherwise do a number search on the issued patents.

Note that in no way am I saying I have any belief that this does anything as claimed - just that if someone says that something is patented, the how and what is in the public domain.

Often times "patented" means a design patent which only protects the artwork. Real companies get design patents to protect a distinctive product style features.

IMHO, the Google Patent Search is easier to use than the USPTO site.
