Can not find info on whether a small waterfall at a residence is required to have GFCI protection 620.85 is the only thing I can find but it is regarding sump pumps? any info would be appreciated. TIA

Thanks looks like protection is required keeps tripping when pump runs for a while usually lasts about 4-5 days?

Then you have a GFI going bad, a pump going bad or wire problems. Unless the pump plugs directly into the GFI receptacle.
Divide and conquer! Time to break out the troubleshooting skills.

If its a 15-20 125 receptacle outside then GFCI protection is required.
