That is actually part of a ladies dress. She detonated an IED placed in their house, she lived. They left the fabric there as a reminder.

This was taken at a house that was owned by members of Al Qaida. Can anybody tell me why, what you see here is something of significance? Being a electrician is probably the only reason I knew...

Notice the color coding...

Until a few years ago, colours for three-phase in UK were red, yellow, blue and black for neutral. Earth (ground) was yellow/green.

Are you reffering to the U shaped pieces on the ground, they look like arc flash strips from a main switch.

Notice the color coding on the load side. Green/yellow used on phase 3.

We are quite sure those are the laminated steel plates from the ballest in the lights. The wire from the ballasts has several uses when making IEDs.
