Am installing a PureAire 02 Deficiency Monitor in a Class 1 Div.1 area. Unit itself is housed in an explosion proof box so that is not a problem. Having trouble finding a 120vAC/24vDC 2 amp. regulated power supply. Plan on installing the power supply in an explosion proof box also. Power supply has to be small enough to install and hardwire into this box(probably a 3/4" GUAC).Anyone ever done this?

GUAC???

There are small DIN rail mountable SMPSs, but 2A at 24VDC (48W) is not generally considered "small", that's kind of "medium". Small one's are 1/2A and below. This is about the smallest form factor I know of; 43.5 x 88.5 x 114mm (1.7 x 3.5 x 4.5in.).

Wieland 2.5A SMPS

Maybe less trouble to mount power supply out of the C1D1 location, and just pipe the

conductors in.

I would be concerned about the heat dissipation, especially in a hazardous location.
