Room above a detached garage

It's 08 , It has a huge finished storage area that might be considered a closet. No bath room, in the garage, no cooking. It's detached.

The similar areas part in 2008 makes me say yes even without a closet. If its not a kitchen,bathroom,or garage Id say yes it does.

It is a detached garage not a dwelling unit.

I agree this is not a dwelling unit thus no arc faults are required. I got cited on the same situtaion about 6 months ago but when I reminded him about it not being a dwelling he was good to food. I did however, use TR since it would be a play room for here grandchildren occassionally.

But you would use TR's, right? Because that's all you stock in the truck.:)

Although , have you priced a sq D AFCI breaker lately? $55.00

I would probably use TR's only because I don't stock the others but that doesn't mean I must use them or arc fault. To me, this is pretty clear but you know anything can happen with different interpretations.
