UL Listing Question

would this be Ul approved

I found these Tiffany decorative post caps an am curious if I wired a UL listed 12 volt socket - 18 volt lamp - with mounting L bracket mounted on top of a 6x6 post with the Tiffany post cap on top of it.

Does anyone see a problem with this.

Couldn't you look at the Tiffany cap as a lamp shade an comply with UL , the bracket and socket is not attached to the Tiffany post cap but only attached to a 6x6 wood post.

Not trying to be difficult but just curious

In order to be considered "Listed", UL or any other NRTL would need to evaluate the entire luminaire assembly as one unit to the specification. Just because one component of a luminaire assembly is UL listed, does not automatically extend that listing to the rest of the assembly.
