Is there anything wrong with this design scenario?
30 hp, 480V, 3 ph motor fed from a 100A circuit breaker with a 60A local non-fused disconnect. Wire size is #6 & #8G.

430.150 has that motor at 40 amps
40x1.15= 46,,,,,so a 60 amp disco meets the requirement 0f 430.110 and the 6's assuming they are copper are ok.

Can we assume there is a motor starter (with overloads) in there somewhere? You aren't planning on using the disconnect to turn the motor on and off are you?Is there anything wrong with this design scenario?
