I've never been a fan of that type, or any type that allows the owner to overload the generator. I always install a generator fed sub panel and only put the circuits in that panel that I want to run.

I haven't, but you should be able to find info on the www easily enough. You should have a model number by now.

So basically a sub within the service panel. I like.

I just don't like the possibility of them causing their own brownout.
It would be easy to overload a genny even with a genny panel unless you limit the connected loads to the genny's capacity. I want more choices in what I use than that would permit.

I only install a fool proof system.

I was gonna say, "Then they come out with a new and improved idiot."
