Has anyone installed the above listed load center? I'm planning my first install and have a few questions.
Just make the genny input breaker match the genny capacity.I've never been a fan of that type, or any type that allows the owner to overload the generator. I always install a generator fed sub panel and only put the circuits in that panel that I want to run.

I've done the same thing with the lower half of a split-bus panel. I capped the spot-welded wires and installed a breaker handle interlock. So basically a sub within the service panel.
It would be easy to overload a genny even with a genny panel unless you limit the connected loads to the genny's capacity. I want more choices in what I use than that would permit.I just don't like the possibility of them causing their own brownout.
I only install a fool proof system.
I was gonna say, "Then they come out with a new and improved idiot."'fool proof' LOL, i like that.
