2 pole breaker on two separate circuits

May a 2 pole breaker serve two separate circuits (Not multi wire) leaving the panel in 2 separate conduits if each has a grounded conductor. I can?t find anything disallowing this

Should not be an issue. The owner may have objection because both circuits will trip when only one is at issue.

There is nothing in the NEC that would prohibit installing a 2 pole breaker to feed 2 2 wire circuits.

Not good idea and sometimes you can remove the handle or bin so they operate independant but that is modifying so not legal

Keep in mind that this only affects manual operation, for disconnecting means.

The 'internal common trip' will still open all poles during automatic operation.

Because he's got a two-pole 15 amp breaker kicking around and not much reason to use it for anything else.

Other for the side issues i see no problem. We are not talking high dollar breakers here are we ?

Not really any different than having a 2 pole fused disconnect supplying the same circuits other than there is no common trip if overcurrent condition on one fuse, turning the switch off turns off both poles.
