Solar disco

A Solar PV system with a roof mounted array, DC conductors in metal conduit to the DC disco/Inverter in basement. Line side tie-in outside in JB, AC from Inverter to fused disco mounted next to JB. The main service panel/OCPD is located in basement.

Question: Is another AC disco required in the basement for grouping, 230.72(A). Or does the AC disco outside qualify under 230.72(B)?

I've also read through Art. 690 with no definitive answer found.

I did, and after re-reading it an AC disco is required in the basement next to the main service ocpd.

After your line side tap outside, it becomes subject to all the rules in article 230. You need to group your service switches, minumum size for the service rated switch is 60amp resi, bond the disco, install a GEC too.
