Is this considered an appliance so use the rated current or is it a motor so use table 430-248?
I will add that the installation literature states to use either a 15A #14 circuit or a 20A #12.
Going by the HP rating at 1.25% I would have 13.8 x 1.25 = 17.25A which does not allow a 15A circuit.
Are disposals motors or applianaces?
I need to know for a dwellng load calc as well for multifamily which that dfference can really add up.
