I'm putting a new transformer in a second floor electrical room but I have to feed it from the 1st floor electrical room. (because there is not enough spare capacity in the 2nd floor electrical room). Do I have to put a disconnect next to the new transformer on the 2nd floor or is just having the breaker in the 1st floor panel suffice? Thank you.

Thank you for your response. I'm providing a breaker in the 1st floor 480/277V panel for the transformer primary protection and a main breaker on the 208/120V panel for the secondary transformer protection which will be located right next to the 2nd floor transformer. I just wasn't sure if the disconnect was required on the primary side next to the transformer since the transformer is on the 2nd floor. Wasn't sure if the line of sight rule applied. Thanks for your help!
